INTERNATIONAL MILAN-BERGAMO AIRPORT
The international Milan-Bergamo airport is located just 5 km from the city.

Orio al Serio is linked to the city by an ATB shuttle bus service. Line 1 departs daily from the arrivals area of the airport every 20 minutes Monday to Saturday, every 30 minutes Sunday and public holidays.

Teatro Donizetti is located right in the centre of Bergamo Bassa, on the avenue known as the “Sentierone”.
Accessibility
The theatre is accessible for visitors with disabilities. There are accessible toilets in the foyer of the theatre.
If you come to Bergamo by car, follow signs for the city centre: on arrival at Porta Nuova leave your car in one of the nearby underground car parks (Piazza della Libertà or Via Borfuro).
Parcheggi Italia offer special rates for Teatro Donizetti ticket holders.
How:
1. Having parked in the car park at Piazza della Libertà, get your ticket stamped at the box office before the performance to obtain the discounted rate.
2. When paying for the car park at either the manned or the automatic payment booth, the system will charge the “teatro” rate for the relevant period.
3. Any period outside the “teatro” time period will be charged at the normal rate.
“TEATRO” rate: for afternoon performances between 15:00 and 18:00, and for evening performances between 20:00 and 01:00, a flat-rate price of €3.00 will apply.
The theatre is five minutes’ walk from the bus station, or on the city bus routes 1, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 15.
The bus stop is Porta Nuova (lines 1, 4, 6, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14 and 15).
The theatre can be easily reached from Bergamo railway station on foot, or on the city bus routes 1, 6, 8, 9, 10 and 15.

Teatro Sociale is located in the heart of Bergamo Alta, on the street known as “Corsarola”.
Accessibility
The theatre is accessible for visitors with disabilities. There are accessible toilets in the foyer of the theatre.
If you come to Bergamo by car, follow signs for centro storico: on arrival at Porta Nuova leave your car in one of the nearby underground car parks (Piazza della Libertà or Via Borfuro) and take a Line 1 bus to Città Alta.
Alternatively, you can drive up to Bergamo Alta and park in the pay-and-display car parks along the city walls or in the supervised car parks inside the walls.
Private vehicles are not allowed in Città Alta:
• on public holidays from 10:00-12:00 and 14:00-19:00;
• Friday and Saturday between the first Friday of summer time and the Friday after the end of summer time, from 21:00 to 01:00.
The theatre is fifteen minutes from the bus station on the Line 1 city bus route. The bus stop for the theatre is Colle Aperto. From the bus stop it is less than 10 minutes’ walk to the theatre.
Città Alta is also served by Line 3 (Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe stop), the airport bus, which connects the Caravaggio airport and Colle Aperto, and by the funicular railway, departing halfway up Viale Vittorio Emanuele and arriving in Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe.
The funicular station is just 300 metres from the Teatro Sociale.
