“Donizetti Revolution” is, since its first edition, the best occasion to open the festival dedicated to Gaetano Donizetti: an evening to discover new details about life, work and creativity of the composer from Bergamo. Francesco Micheli, artistic director of the festival, presents Donizetti Opera 2024 to the public.
A new fusion of music, words, images and videos, with which to enter Gaetano’s world and learn more about the operas that make up the programme of the next festival.

Donizetti revolutionary of art, inventor of Italian musical Romanticism, always ahead of his time, brilliant creator of stories in which we still believe because they are emotional dynamite that explodes in our hearts and brains.

There will be many guests at this Donizetti Revolution vol. 10, including sopranos Sabrina Gárdez and Marianna Mappa, the celebrated baritone Simone Piazzola, David Blank, who many will remember as the protagonist of LU OpeRave in 2023, and also Riccardo Frizza (musical director of the festival), Paolo Fabbri (scientific director)… and Le favorite. At the piano, Hana Lee.
